Kwon Sang-woo for TV drama version of ‘TaeGukGi’?

The final decision has not been made yet but it looks like one of Korea’s super studs, Kwon Sang-woo, is being consider for the lead role in a televised version of the 2004 Korean War film TaeGukGi. The final decision won’t be made until the end of this month but we do know that there will be 16 episodes and the drama version will be titled Road Number One.

TaeGukGi was a hugely impressive film and the idea of a 16 episode drama sounds very interesting. If it is anything like the original film or a series like Band of Brothers then I am very interested indeed.

UK Poster for BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE

The UK quad poster for Chris Nahon’s live action adaption of Blood: The Last Vampire has arrived online over at Scifi Japan. Looking at this poster makes me feel envious of our international friends across the globe who are getting the chance to watch the film first while some of us poor suckers living in North America are still left in the dark. Sigh. Note to the US distributor Samuel Goldwyn Films: Please get the ball rolling soon.

Pathé will release the film theatrically in UK on June 12th and in France on June 17th. It will also be screened at the SciFi London Film Festival for its opening night on April 29th.

Revealed! Zac Efron's New Naked Friend

So who is that frolicking naked in a sandbox with Zac Efron in his just released racy photo shoot for Interview magazine?

Here she is! The lucky gal is 20-year-old Lithuanian model Edita Vilkeviciute.

And would you believe she didn't know who Zac was until the day of the shoot?

Read on for the dirty details...

Just before they started to get dirty, Vilkeviciute admitted to the High School Musical golden boy she didn't know who he was. "Since I've never watched American television, I didn't understand until everyone started asking me to get his autograph," she tells writer Leila Brillson.

But then Mr. Efron had something to share, too. "Zac finally admitted to me that this was his first real fashion shoot," Vilkeviciute says. "So we both got to relax."

So Zac's first time was with Edita? We're sure he relaxed just fine.

Celebrity Big Brother 2009 - Michelle Heaton's naked promise

Michelle Heaton might have to strip off to win Celebrity Big Brother 2009.

She has stiff competition from Verne Troyer and Lucy Pinder so might have to risk it all to make sure she wins.
Michelle has a tendency to moon, although she has promised her boyfriend she won't moon in the house.

Michelle rose to fame when she took part in the ITV reality television show Popstars reaching the final ten, but was not selected for the five member band Hear'Say. Soon after, she and the other four unsuccessful applicants formed Liberty X, signing a record deal with Virgin Records.

Liberty X went on to win a Brit award toured with Bon Jovi in Australia, and had a number one single in the UK with their other singles all making the top five.

Michelle's biggest ambition is to perform on a West End stage – her ultimate role would be Roxy Heart in Chicago. Michelle goes running regularly with her dog and works out at least 5-6 times a week. Her favourite foods are pizza, Nandos and curry and she hates oysters and Bacardi and usually only drinks on a Saturday.

She thinks the public will find it surprising that she's not actually a 'piss head'. A flower vine on her foot, a dolphin on ankle, a huge butterfly on her back, butterflies on her neck, a butterfly on wrist and a butterfly on stomach make up her six tattoos. Her favourite book is 'Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone'.

Alongside her boyfriend and her mobile phone, Michelle says she can't live without Facebook so she expects life in the house to be difficult. But Michelle is hoping to learn to be more patient with people and loves to tidy and clean.

American Idol Eliminates Michael Sarver

While many fans were aghast that Alexis Grace was sent home a week ago, almost everyone saw Michael Sarver's elimination coming this time around. Nice guy, decent singer, not American Idol material.
So... we're down to 9 American Idol finalists. Can anyone beat Adam Lambert?

Summary
Originally conceived as the US version of Britain's Pop Idol, American Idol has since exploded into a full-fledged pop culture phenomena, launching the careers of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, resurrecting Paula Abdul and introducing America to a guy named Simon Cowell. Each week, contestants belt out stirring renditions of classic pop songs, while enduring the slings and arrows of the judges (or in Simon's case spears and axes) before America votes to decide who will be the next American Idol.

Playboy Party Celebrates Kim Kardashian Naked Pictorial

Kim Kardashian kept most of her clothes on for a party held in her honor over the weekend. The Playboy cover girl was feted in Las Vegas last night, as she played host to Playboy’s Sunday After Dark shindig at the Palms.

We didn’t spot fellow naked model Kyla Ebbert at the bash, but perhaps the magazine is waiting to celebrate her upcoming spread with a party all her own. Southwest Airlines attendants would be let in for free.

Kim Kardashian Taking a New Style for Spring

Spring time, time to change your closet contents. Kim Kardashian started doing it. Watch out her new set of outfit welcoming the spring.

Kim Kardashian Dining with Vera Wang

In her earlier blog about her dinner with Vera Wang, she expressed her appreciation to this celebrated lady and mentioning that: “I am a huge fan of Vera Wang and her designs and it would be a dream come true if she did design my wedding gown when the day comes!”

She is a real huge fan of Vera Wang with the fact that she followed her career since she was a teenager.

It must have been a real pleasure for Kim that the meeting was followed by another dinner. This time, with her man, Reggie.

As she recounted:

“We had so much fun, she really is a fascinating woman!

I really enjoyed hearing more stories and even about her career as a figure skater when she was growing up, almost entering in the Olympics.”

Jang Ja Yun Had Received ‘Death Threats’ From Kim

Jang Ja Yun’s incident takes a minor step forward with the phone call recordings of the deceased actress being released by MBC yesterday. The call recordings contained a part in which Jang Ja Yun told a good friend of her that her boss Kim wanted to kill her. This news shocked the Korean public and even forced a police clarification on the matter today (26th).

According to MBC NewsDesk on the 25th which reported the phone conversation in Jang Ja Yun’s cellphone: “In one of the phone conversation with her good friend before she committed suicide, Jang Ja Yun said ‘Kim wanted to terminate all my benefits and even reprimanded me. Kim said that he wanted to kill me and also proceeded to assert violence on me. He will really kill me’. The conversation shows her extreme fear towards her boss Kim.”

In another phone conversation, Jang Ja Yun said: “I have done according to my boss’s instruction… I do not want to spoil his reputation. Although I can expose him if I bring the sms that he had text me to the police, but I do not want to do so.” This conversation clearly hinted that she was indeed forced to have sex with others or something against her own will.

However, the South Korean police has today tried to clarify on the report made by MBC, by saying that Kim had indeed threatened Jang Ja Yun, but not in the way reported by MBC.

The police spokesperson said: “The ‘kill’ mentioned by Kim may not literally mean ‘killing someone’. It may likely mean killing off Jang Ja Yun’s actress career. However just based on this, Kim has already committed an offence and the police will continue the investigation through this clue.”

One phone conversation, two different interpretations. Which is the truth?

Kim Min Ji Next On ‘Boys Before Flowers’

As we edge towards the finale of “Boys Before Flowers” next week, there is just one last character to be introduced, and that is Jung Yoo Mi (Nakajima Umi in the manga), to be played by newcomer actress Kim Min Ji, who will form a triangle relationship with Goo Joon Pyo and Geum Jan Di in the final two episodes.

From the plot, Jung Yoo Mi appears after Joon Pyo had lost his memories and attempts to strain the relationship between Joon Pyo and Jan Di. In the original manga, Umi is a dual character who likes to tell lies. During Joon Pyo’s amnesia period, she lies to Joon Pyo that she is his girlfriend and thus creating a whole lot of mess out of it.

Kim Min Ji debuts through a CF with Jeon Ji Hyun and later followed up with a role in sitcom “That Person Is Coming”. She also played the role of young Lady Kim in the recent KBS “Empress Chun Chu”. Congratulations to her for winning this role. She will definitely see herself rise in popularity after the drama ends, but at the same time, I foresee she will be in the “Boys Before Flowers Public Enemy No.1″ list for being an evil 3rd party between Joon-Jan relationship, probably for a longtime to come.

7 Grade Civil Servant

One of the most anticipated Korean movies of the first half 2009, “7th Grade Civil Servant“, has released its first wave of promotional posters. This spy action romance comedy movie, casts popular actors Kim Ha Neul and Kang Ji Hwan where they will transform into agents from the National Intelligence Service.

The two posters showed each of them posing nervously with a gun against the wall. Since its initial announcement, it was often discussed and regarded by many that the plot is somewhat similar to “Mr and Mrs Smith” by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but likely a more comedic version.
The synopsis goes that Soo Ji (Kim Ha Neul) and Jae Joon (Kang Ji Hwan) were a couple but they subsequently discovered that the true identity of the other half is an agent. From a couple relationship, they are now colleagues as well, albeit in a dangerous situation.

By the way, I really loved the look of Kim Ha Neul in this poster. She is truly gorgeous and sexy. This movie seems to be under too many genre but it will likely be a success if nothing goes wrong, just based on the popularity on these two stars alone. The movie will premiere on the 23rd of April.
